  • Click Tags on the left side navigation menu

Tag Categories

  • Click Add in the upper right
  • Name the tag category
  • Click Save

💡 Note: The tag category is broad whereas the tags themselves are more granular. For example: The tag category would be "Home City" and the individual tags would be "Detroit", "Battle Creek", "New Orleans", "Denver".

Create New Tag

  • Within the Tag Category click Add Tag to create a new tag
  • Add as many tags to a category as needed

Worker/Job Tags

  • The icons on the right side will determine if tags in this category are attached to workers, jobs or both.
  • Hovering over each icon will display a tooltip with helpful information.

💡 Note: The Tag Category "Shirt Size" is only going to apply to workers. Whereas a Tag Category like "Location" may apply to both workers and jobs.

Change Tag Color

  • Click the color swatch next to the dropper tool
  • Choose the color to represent all the tags in this category

💡 Note: If have a color hex code, paste it to create a custom color for your tags in this category.

Display Groups

  • Toggle on the option to turn a tag category into a display group
  • A display group tag gives the user more control over how data is displayed and grouped in the application.
  • Once a display group, only one tag from the category can be applied to workers/jobs at any time.
  • On the Jobs Schedule and Roster Board the user is able to group their data according to Display Group tags. Effectively changing the way RIVET is laid out for the user.

💡 Note: Examples of display group tags: Shirt size, home location, company vehicle y/n, badge access y/n . Workers or jobs can only have one of these distinctions at a time. A worker will only have one shirt size or one home location.
