      Forecast Version Control

      Save a major or minor version of a jobs forecast. Revert to a previous version seamlessly.

      Navigation

      1. Navigate to the job's Labor Planning Homepage
      2. Open the Job Plan Drawer
      3. Make a change to the previously published Forecast
      4. Choose to publish this new forecast as a Major Version or Minor Version

      💡 Note: If the changes to the forecast are more than a 5% shift from the previously published forecast, RIVET will recommend you save the changes as a Major Version.

      Publish Forecast

      1. Navigate to the Labor Planning Homepage to make a change to the existing forecast
      2. The Publish Job button includes an arrow to access the drop down menu
      3. Choose whether to publish this change as a Major or Minor version of the forecast

      Major Version

      1. Make a change to the existing forecast
      2. Click the arrow next to Publish Job to access the drop down
      3. Choose to save a Major Version of the job's forecast
      4. Name the Major Version
      5. Click save

      💡 Note: If you save the Major Version of a forecast without typing a name, the naming convention will be to create a new whole number and use the current date as the title. 

      Minor Version

      1. If the change to the forecast is <5% of the previous forecasted amount, clicking Publish Job will automatically publish a minor version of the forecast

      💡 Note: RIVET will automatically name Minor versions of the Forecast. They naming convention will be in .1 increments added to the most recent Major Version.

      Forecast History

      1. Accessing the Forecast Version History will show all edited versions of the forecast
      2. Clicking the kebab menu next to the name of a version will access a menu

      View - Display this version of the forecast

      Info - Display the user that created this version of the forecast

      Restore This Version - Overwrite the current forecast with this version of the forecast

      Edit - Change the name and/or details of this version of the forecast

        3. Clicking Restore This Version in the upper right will overwrite the current version of the                    forecast with the version chosen.

      Tool Tip

      • Hovering over the green 'Plan Is Published' display will access a tool tip
      • This tool tip will provide details on the current version of the forecast
